The Nissan Rogue is a compact crossover SUV that debuted in October 2007 for the 2008 model year, produced by the Japanese automaker Nissan. It is the North American version of the European-designed Qashqai, known as the Dualis in Japan and Australia.
For 2010, the Rogue was awarded Consumers Digest's Automotive Best Buy Award. The Rogue also received the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)'s Highest Side-Impact Safety Rating(five stars) that year.
Production of 2014 Nissan Rogue began at Smyrna, Tennessee as the facility's 10 millionth vehicle. As part of 2014 Nissan Rogue launch in North America, Nissan became the exclusive automotive partner for the launch of Apple's iTunes Radio, with campaign theme 'Make the Ordinary Extraordinary'.
