How to Program a 2018 Ford Fiesta Keyless Entry Remote Fob Smart Key
Step by Step How to Program Instructions:
Use these instructions if your Ford Fiesta has the Remote Head key system.
Programming a New Remote Head Key ( Remote Portion)
- Turn the ignition key from position 0 to position II 8 times within 10 seconds.
- Turn the ignition key to position 0. A tone sounds to indicate that it is now possible to program a remote control.
- Press any button on a new remote control within 10 seconds.A tone sounds as confirmation.
- Repeat step 3 within 10 seconds for each new remote control.Do not remove the key from the ignition when pressing the button on the remote control.
- Turn the ignition key to position II, or wait for 10 seconds without programming another remote control to end the key programming. Only the remote controls that you have just programmed are now able to lock and unlock your vehicle.
Programming a New Remote Head Key ( Key Portion)
A maximum of eight keys can be programmed to your vehicle. Only SecuriLock keys can be used. To program a key yourself, you will need two previously programmed keys (keys that already operate your vehicle’s engine) and the new unprogrammed key(s) readily accessible for timely implementation of each step in the procedure.
Please read and understand the entire procedure before you begin.
1. Insert the first previously programmed key into the ignition and turn the ignition from the OFF position to the ON position (maintain ignition in the ON position for at least one second, but no more than 10 seconds).
2. Turn ignition from the ON position back to the OFF position in order to remove the first programmed key from the ignition.
3. After three seconds but within 10 seconds of removing the first previously programmed key, insert the second previously programmed key into the ignition and turn the ignition from the OFF position to the ON position (maintain ignition in the ON position for at least one second but no more than 10 seconds).
4. Turn the ignition from the ON position back to the OFF position in order to remove the second programmed key from the ignition.
5. After three seconds but within 10 seconds of removing the second programmed key, insert the new unprogrammed key (new key/valet key) into the ignition and turn the ignition from the OFF position to the ON position (maintain ignition in the ON position for at least one second, but no more than 10 seconds). This step will program your new key to a programmed key.
6. To program additional new unprogrammed key(s), repeat Steps 1 through 5.

2. If your vehicle is still mobile, it may save you money by driving to the locksmith instead of having them come to you.
3. The locksmith will then hook up specialized computer equipment to your vehicle in order to program the smart key remote fob.
