The Chevrolet Aveo ( ə-VAY-oh) is a subcompact car manufactured since 2002, originally by the South Korean General Motors (GM) subsidiary, GM Daewoo—and later by other GM-affiliated entities. The first generation Chevrolet Aveo was equiped with a remote-head keyless entry remote key fob, where the remote is attached directly to the head of the key. These remote-head keyless entry remote key fob's were not self programmable, meaning there are no keyless entry remote key fob programming instructions for them.
The second and final generation Aveo debuted in January 2011, marketed globally as the Chevrolet Aveo; in North America, the Middle East, Chile, Israel, Japan, Mexico, and South Africa as the Chevrolet Sonic; and in Australasia as the Holden Barina. The second generation Chevrolet Aveo's remote-head keyless entry remote key fob was also not self programmable. Again, meaning there are no keyless entry remote key fob programming instructions for them.
