The Jeep Liberty, or Jeep Cherokee (KJ/KK) outside North America, was a compact SUV produced by the Jeep marque of Chrysler from model years 2002–2013. It was introduced as a replacement for the Cherokee (XJ). The Jeep Liberty as keyless entry remote fob smart keys that are onboard programmable, which means a person can program the keyless entry remote fob smart key with no special equipment other than the keyless entry remote fob smart key programming instructions. Some model years, however, require two working keys before being able to program the keyless entry remote fob smart key.
