The Kia Sportage is a compact crossover vehicle built by the South Korean manufacturer Kia since 1993. It was discontinued by 2003, but after a two-year hiatus, the 2005 Sportage returned, sharing its Elantra-based platform with the 2005 Hyundai Tucson. Kia Sportage models do not have keyless entry remote fob smart keys that are onboard programmable and therefore require special equipment in order to program the keyless entry remote fob smart key.
